HURRICANE RELIEF FUND RAISING EVENT
So when you feel like hope is gone--Look inside you and be strong.  and you'll finally see the truth--that a hero lies in you."

Singer, song writer Susi Cox , from Dennison, felt helpless watching as the gulf coast was battered by Hurricane Katrina.  "I wanted to do something," said Susi, "I wish that I could go out there and help those people!  It's so difficult to see the suffering they are enduring!"

Susi channeled her talents and energies in the formation of a Fund Raising Event to be held at New Philadelphia High School on October 9th.    Doors will open early for a silent auction.  Local businesses have donated generously to this auction with fabulous items , and celebrity items include a souvenir from a Johnny Depp movie and a jacket from actor Sean Astin.   There are CDs  and autographed items from stars including Nancy Sinatra plus autographed pictures from many actors and actresses including "Family Affair's" beloved Kathy Garver (Cissy),  Peter "Columbo" Falk,  and the lovely "Carol Brady," actress Florence Henderson.  National  Talk show host Delilah has generously contributed  itmes for this Hurricane Relief auction.

Susi Cox is working directly with Chad Conrad from the American Red Cross.  All proceeds from the October 9th event will be used to assist with the devastation following Hurricane Katrina.  
    
This will be a night filled with great music and entertainment hosted by Cleveland Radio announcer Julie Courtright (formally of WTUZ).
