Barry Barsamian Biography Barry Barsamian is a Media Pro, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was the Senior Editor of a bi-monthly philanthropy-based magazine called GeneroCity, and worked for many years as the Photo Editor of the Nob Hill Gazette. He served as Public Relations Manager of Embarcadero Center in SF and as a TV Producer for KTVU. He began his career working with TV's Brian Banmiller and as a retail copywriter for Mervyn's. He is a film/TV historian and Hollywood Costume collector who created the SF Bay Area Legends Hall of Fame-- a new charity which recently honored 14 local philanthropists, including Kathy Garver, Ann Getty, Denise Hale, Ann Caen, Diane Baker, Linda Bulgo, Nancy Besst, Lilias Folan, Jan Wahl, Yurie Pascarella, Margot de Wildt, Pat Montandon, Charlotte Shultz & Joan Fontaine. Proceeds from his fundraiser went to The Little Jim Club at California Pacific Medical Center which led to Barry being crowned Mardi Gras King of San Francisco, 2007-2008.
Kathy Garver Biography
Most fondly remembered for her
starring role as “Cissy” in the long running CBS prime time television
hit, “Family Affair”, Kathy Garver has also garnered critical acclaim in
movies, stage, radio, voice-over animation, audio book narration., and radio
and television hosting.
Kathy has put her vast knowledge
into teaching and producing and is currently working on such projects as
“Snuggy Bear”, a live action /animation show, TV Dinners, a new series
that she will host, and recording her new workbook, Creating Excellence in
Audio Narration and her cookbook Family Cooking with Style. Kathy
has a star in the Palm Springs “Walk of Fame” and loves walking and
playing the desert golf courses!
Kathy lives in the California Bay Area with her husband, David, son, Reid, and Cocker Spaniel “Coco”. As
president of the Family Affair Foundation whose mission it is to provide
reading companions to the elderly and disadvantaged youth, Kathy does much to
help many worthwhile charities.
